Mass. printer acquires two other companies, creates new firm The new company synergizes the complementary capabilities and staffs of all three firms. Synergy Graphic Solutions offers customers a much broader range of products and services. The new firm has combined sales of $4.2 million. “In the past few years, we’ve realized the tremendous opportunity for building a powerhouse of capabilities through strategic acquisitions,” Pendleton said. The new company will be located in the epicenter of the economically rich area of Metrowest Boston in the Marlborough facility that housed Reservoir Printing. Both Pendleton Printers and Apex Press will be moving their operations to Marlborough. Nearly all of the employees from the three firms have been retained. With the combined equipment and staff from the three firms, Synergy offers its customers a much broader range of products and services, including digital color printing, high-speed digital black and white printing, offset printing, variable data, wide-format printing, graphic design, full bindery/finishing, and warehousing and fulfillment. In preparation for launching the new firm, Doug Pendleton is undertaking a thorough customer care program. Informing all customers of the forthcoming changes is a priority, and it is representative of the philosophy with which Synergy plans to guide itself: customers come first. The new Web site will go live in the next several weeks. Future plans for the firm include adding web-to-print capabilities as it sets it sights on regional and global business potential.
