Connecticut Valley Bindery installs new Muller Martini Bolero perfect binder
New Britain company anticipates more clients
“We anticipate adding more clients, as well as different types of clients,” said Kevin Hubert, vice president of sales for Connecticut Valley Bindery in explaining how the Muller Martini Bolero perfect binding system is expected to increase business growth opportunities for his company. The system is scheduled for installation at the New Britain, Conn., company this month.

The Bolero, which runs at speeds up to 8,000 cycles per hour, processes the industry’s largest range of product sizes. The Bolero also offers the most production options, whether the job calls for hot melt, or PUR, in perfect bound and book blocks for casing-in.

Connecticut Valley Bindery handles an array of different products, including annual reports, magazines, periodicals, scholastic books, catalogs for colleges and universities, children’s books, and many others.

“With the Bolero, we’ll be able to produce larger runs and the PUR capabilities will allow us to bring more high-end jobs into our business,” Hubert said.

The Muller Martini Bolero is among the most automated and advanced adhesive binding system in the world, with the ability to perform its own make-ready.
