The Graphic Group celebrates 10th anniversary
Woburn, Mass. print services provider looks toward future
The Graphic Group, Inc., a print solutions provider in Woburn, MA, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this summer. Established in July 1996 by company president Rick Michaud, the Graphic Group offers customers a one-source solution for printing (web, sheet, digital, and variable data), mailing, fulfillment, and promotional products. Markets served by the company include health care, advertising, higher education, arts and cultural organizations, financial services, real estate, and publishing.

The company is expanding into new markets this year and is also moving into online (web-to-print) ordering. In addition, a new web site will be unveiled this summer, which will highlight their full range of services. The company started out in a 150-square-foot office in Boston. Three years ago it moved into a 2000-square-foot facility in Woburn. Its eight employees include three sales people and two others in business development.

“Like most graphic arts firms, we’ve been through periods of highs and lows these past 10 years,” Michaud said. “Fortunately, we’re starting our second decade at an all-time high. In 2005, we grew sales by 65 percent, making it our best year yet. We’re proud to be print solutions providers at a time when the market is clearly looking for this particular type of resource.”

Michaud acknowledges that much of the firm’s success is directly attributable to his long-standing production department, which has been intact for more than seven years. “We’re growing not only because of our reputation for personal, professional service,” said Michaud, “but also because of our terrific production team.” The team has particular strengths in graphic design, preflighting, paper, print manufacturing, and direct mail. They have earned a solid reputation in the marketplace for helping customers plan and produce successful print and mail projects.
