Curry Printing receives Kronos 2004 Premier Supplier Award
Curry Printing of Worcester, Mass., has been named 2004 Premier Supplier by Kronos Incorporated, a firm that specializes in workforce management.

The central Massachusetts offset and digital printing company, with two locations in Worcester and one each in Auburn and Westborough, was honored for its ability to meet near-perfect quality and delivery standards set by the Chelmsford, Mass.-based technology company. Curry Printing provides printing and fulfillment services to Kronos supporting their Educational Services offerings.

According to Kronos purchasing agent Dan Cassidy, the award is given to suppliers who demonstrate that they share Kronos’ commitment to customer satisfaction and dedication to continuous improvement. Out of all rated suppliers in 2004 only the very best are nominated for the award. Curry exceeded Kronos’ highest quality, delivery and service demands. “To be considered for this award, a supplier must achieve at least 12 consecutive months of near-perfect delivery and quality. In 2004 Curry was rated at 100 percent in both categories,” Cassidy said.

The ISO-registered company looks at a supplier’s overall efficiency and systems to deliver its goods or services as part of the criteria for the award. According to Kronos purchasing manager Bill Harley, Curry’s outstanding customer service and job-flow processes enabled the printer to reduce turnaround times from three to five days to one day in many cases, allowing Kronos to exceed its customer’s expectations.

Harley, Cassidy, QA manager, Steve Dulgarian, and Alicia Alcaino and Ron Pieciul representing the Educational Services Group presented Curry Printing with its 2004 Premier Supplier award at the printer’s main facility located at 165 Southbridge Street in Worcester.

Curry also has locations at Clark University in Worcester; and in Westborough and Auburn.

Company president Thomas Gardner is vice chairman of the board of directors of Printing Industries of New England.
