Several major vendors join Northeast Graphics
Océ, Xerox, Kodak Polychrome Graphics, C.P. Bourg, Printable Technologies and Pasquariello Graphics join show slated for Nov. 20–22 in Worcester

Well known national equipment and supplier vendors
Océ Printing, Xerox Corp., Kodak Polychrome Graphics, and C.P. Bourg, have joined the exhibitor ranks of Northeast Graphics, the regional trade show and exposition scheduled for Nov. 20–22 at the Worcester Centrum Centre.

In addition, Printable Technologies, PrintCafe and regional equipment distributor Pasquariello Graphics Inc. are also among the latest industry suppliers to join the show.

“It’s playing out just as we anticipated,” said Trade Show Manager Joe Venti. “Several of these vendors indicated to us early on that they intended to be in the show, but they had to hold back on signing their contracts until now for a host of reasons. For some, it was a marshaling of resources after Graph Expo. Others needed to see quarterly business reports. Still others had to coordinate staffing and other support services to be in our show.

“I also anticipate more vendors coming into the show in the three weeks leading up to the event,” Venti said. “I encourage everyone to check out the latest information about Northeast Graphics through the PINE Web site at www.pine.org.”

It was unclear at press time what equipment Océ Printing intended to exhibit.

Xerox
Xerox will showcase its DocuColor 3535 printer/copier, an affordable reprographic machine which leverages the print engine technology of the DocuColor 12 and Xerox’s exclusive Emulsion Aggregation toner to produce professional quality, black and white or full-color finished documents quickly and easily in an economical way. “We believe this will be the product of choice for high-quality, low-cost mid-range printing, copying and scanning,” said Jim Miller, president of Xerox’s Office Group.

The DocuColor 3535 plays in a color multi-function market segment projected to grow by 13 percent annually between now and 2006 according to market research firm Gartner Dataquest.

Kodak Polychrome Graphics
Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) will showcase its award-winning MatchPrint Virtual Proofing System. The MatchPrint Virtual Proofing System consists of high-end, customized cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors, proprietary color management technologies and a suite of web-based image viewing and collaboration tools from RealTime Image.

Designed to provide the convenience and ease of use that graphics arts professionals have come to expect from digital technology, MatchPrint Virtual Proofing System uses an application service provider (ASP) model that allows users to access files through their standard web browser. Proofs can be viewed and managed entirely online, including the ability to make annotations and mark-ups similar to hard-copy proofs.

Industry experts have touted proofing as an area where new technologies can help printers cut costs, reduce turn-around times and eliminate the need for hard-copy proofs shipped via couriers from printers to clients. KPG’s MatchPrint Virtual Proofing System does all that. It will be on display for printers to check out throughout the entire Northeast Graphics show.

Printable Technologies
Printable Technologies is a preferred vendor of HP Indigo and a leading provider of online technology to print suppliers. Printable’s array of software products enables print manufacturers to offer online ordering, tracking and output of variable data, on-demand, and inventory print systems by end users from catalogs and job submission centers that are set up, controlled and maintained through existing prepress and production staff.

Printable will demonstrate numerous products including PrintFusion3 online variable data printing through flexible and scalable PrintOne Customer Centers. PrintFusion3 allows users to create multi-page, multi-record, press-ready artwork from database file, data streams, form input and more.

C.P. Bourg

The BSTD+ will be feeding into the SBM4 Booklet Maker also with a simple to use touch screen allowing for simple operator intervention with size changes in under one minute.

The BB3001 Perfect Binder will also be on display. A single clamp binder with automation that allows the operator to perfect bind one book with one cover perfectly the first time. A great addition to your on-demand print center where short runs are the norm. In addition to the BB3001 the BB1001 table top binder will be in the booth as well.

C.P. Bourg will also have a sheet feeder into the SBM4 Booklet Maker to address the On-Demand need to finish Collated sets directly off of your Digital Printer.

Pasquariello Graphics Inc., an Attleboro, Mass.-based regional distributor of finishing equipment from MBO, Colter & Peterson, Saber, Prism, Knorr, Moll Group, Baum, Theisen & Bonitz, and Interthor, will have a full line-up of cutters, folders and gluers and other binding and finishing equipment, parts and accessories on display.

“Our exhibit floor now has a solid mix of practical products and equipment that printers and other graphic communications professionals use everyday,” Venti said. “With our latest batch of vendors to join in, we now have added new and emerging technologies that will show attendees how digital technology, when applied to printing and reproduction, online procurement, and remote on-monitor proofing can help cut costs, help printers bring more value to their clients and help drive up profits in the long run.”
