How
to do referrals the right way
If salespeople should avoid asking for referrals, then how should
they leverage their customer relationships to grow their business?
By John Graham
What sounds good doesn’t always work very well. If referral programs
were as successful as their advocates claim, there would be so much
new business that the need for prospecting, marketing, advertising or
selling would disappear. It’s blatantly obvious, however, that
this isn’t the case. (More)

Safety
priorities for the printing industry: Part I
By Mark J. Flannery

months should cause every printer to look at their plant for safety
hazards and re-evaluate their safety programs. In too many instances,
safety has been a secondary issue or low priority until something serious
happens. It’s now time to move plant safety up the priority list.
Flannery provides several topics that every printer should be thinking
about.
Feedback
that inspires passion and performance
By Jim Dawson
Successful feedback validates what others have done well and guides
them in the direction they need to go. It’s not a once-a-year
conversation, it’s an ongoing dialogue that motivates behavior
and inspires excellence. To do it well, you must have genuine respect
for the individuals you influence and a sincere desire to contribute
to their growth.
