R.R. Donnelley & Sons to acquire Spencer Press
Deal should close in fourth quarter for privately-owned Wells, Maine catalog printer
R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company has signed an agreement to acquire Spencer Press, Inc., of Wells, Maine, one of the country’s largest privately-owned printing companies that for years, has served the needs of organizations that market their products through catalogs and other direct mailings. There have also been some lesser-known PDF products such as Artwork Systems Odystar and EFI Oneflow. Both of these products are powerful PDF workflow products in their own right.
