The Graphic Arts Credit Union, a full service credit union that has
served family members and employees of member companies of Printing
Industries of New England since its creation in 1977, is merging with
Metropolitan Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in Massachusetts.

Installation of 4-color press set for 2005 in Kendallville,
Ind.
Courier Corporation, one of the country’s leading
book manufacturers and specialty publishers, has purchased a second
MAN Roland Lithoman four-color press in two years. The new press, representing
a capital investment of approximately $12 million, will be installed
next to an identical press placed in operation earlier this year at
Courier’s Kendallville, Ind. plant, significantly boosting Courier’s
capacity as a producer of high-quality four-color books for the education

A big change is in the works for Kirkwood Printing, a 31-year-old specialty
sheetfed company in Wilmington, Mass. Three veteran sales professionals
who were core members of Acme Printing Co., also in Wilmington, have
purchased Kirkwood from founder Kirk Krikorian. They plan to double
the current annual sales of $11 million in the coming years. They hope
to boost sales by $5 million in the next year alone. (More)
