Dynagraf wins two Benny Awards; Moore Wallace Andrews wins one
Other New England firms shine in 2004 Premier Print Awards competition
Two commercial printers in New England were among a select group of companies worldwide that won top honors in the 2004 Premier Print Awards, the world’s largest competition for printed materials run by Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation.

Dynagraf, Inc. of Canton, Mass., won two “Benny” Awards, bronze statute replicas of Benjamin Franklin which has come to symbol worldwide printing excellence. Dynagraf won one Benny Award for four-color printing of business and annual reports, and a second Benny Award for the printing of one, two or three-color product or service catalogs. That award-winning piece was for Boston University’s School of Management.

Moore Wallace Andrews of Manchester, Conn., formerly W.E. Andrews Co., but now owned by R.R. Donnelley & Sons, won one Benny Award for four-color printing of covers for a business or annual report and one, two or three-color printing of interior text. The winning entry was the 2003 Annual Report of the Steinway Musical Company.

Both companies have been previous Benny Award winners.

A total of 90 Benny Awards were granted to 61 companies. Most Bennys went to U.S. printing companies, but printing companies from Australia, British Columbia and Ontario, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Uruguay also won top honors.

Perennial winner Williamson Printing Corporation of Dallas won 15 Bennys.
